LYUBOV SERGEEVNA POPOVA (1889-1924)
Painter, theatre artists, designer. Studied at S.Zhukovsky's studio, at K.Yuon's and I.Dudin's studio (1907-08). Participant of exhibitions from 1914 ("The Jack of Diamonds", "Tram B", "0,10", "The Shop", "5x5=25", etc.). Member of "Supremus" group (1916). Taught at the Free Workshops/the Higher Art and Technical Workshops (from 1918), member of the department of the Institute of Artistic Culture (from 1920), one of the leaders of constructivism and "manufacturing" art. Worked at theatre (from 1922) together with V.Meyerhold, designed fabric decor (1923-24). Works are kept in largest museums of Russia and abroad.
