LABAS ALEKSANDRE ARKADYEVICH (1900-1983)

Studied at a private art studio in Smolensk under V.I.Mushketov (1908), the Stroganov Central Industrial Art School under S.V.Noakovsky, F.F.Fedorovsky, D.A.Shcherbinovsky (1912 - 1917), at F.I.Rerberg's (1915) and I.I.Mashkov's (1916) private studios, at the 2nd State Free Art Workshops under P.P.Konchalovsky (1917 - 1919). From 1921- participant of exhibitions. Member of the Society of Easel Painters (1925 - 1932, founder-member). In 1920 - 1921 taught at the Ekaterinburg Art Institute, in 1924 - 29 - at the Moscow Higher Art and Technical Workshops/Institute.

In 1924 - 1943 - designed a number of performances of Moscow theatres.
