ROZHDESTVENSKY VASILY VASILIEVICH (1884-1963)

Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under A.Ye.Arkhipov, K.A.Korovin, V.A.Serov (1900-1910). From 1907 participated exhibitions. Member of "The Jack of Diamonds" (1910-1917, founder-member), "The World of Art" (1911-1922), "The Moscow Painters" (1925), the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (from 1926), the Society of Moscow Artists (1927-1929). In 1918-1922 taught at the 1st and 2nd State Free Art Workshops and their branches.

The artist's works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery and many other museums.
