OSMYORKIN ALEKSANDRE ALEKSANDROVICH (1892-1953)
Painter. Studied at the Kiev art school (1909-11) under N.Pimonenko, at I.Mashkov's studio in Moscow (1912-13). Participant of exhibitions from 1913 (in Elizavetgrad, "The Jack of Diamonds", "Free Art", "The World of Art", the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia, etc.). Taught at the Moscow Higher Art and Technical Workshops/Institute (1918-30), at the Academy of Fine Arts (1932-37) in Leningrad, the Moscow Institute of Fine Arts/the Moscow State Art Institute (1937-48). Member of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia, the Society of Moscow Artists, the "Being".
