KUZNETSOV PAVEL VARFOLOMEEVICH (1878-1968)
Painter, graphic artist, monumental painter. Studied at the Bogolyubov drawing school in Saratov (1891-1897), at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Moscow (1897-1904) under K.Korovin, L.Pasternak. V.Serov, at F.Colarossi's Academy and other art studios of Paris (1906). Participant of exhibitions from 1901 including "The World of Art" (1902, 1911-22), "The Salon of the Golden Fleece". One of the organizers of the exhibition "The Scarlet Rose" (1904, Saratov), initiator of the exhibition "The Blue Rose" (1907).Chairman of association "4 Arts". Taught at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Achitecture, the Moscow Higher Art and Technical Workshops/Institute (1918-1930), the Moscow Higher Industrial Art School. Lived and worked in Moscow.
