ALEXEI KONDRATYEVICH SAVRASOV (1830-1897)
Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1848-1850) under K.I.Rabus. Founder member of the Society of Itinerant Art Exhibitions, member of the Moscow Society of Art Lovers (from 1860). Participant of exhibitions of the Academy of Art, the Society of Itinerant Art Exhibitions, the World exhibitions of 1873, 1878. In 1854 received the title of academician of landscape painting. His works are housed in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Kiev Museum of Russian Art, the Ryazan Regional Art Museum and many other museums of the country.
