ANTON IVANOVICH IVANOV-GOLUBOI (1818-1864)
Studied under Ye.G.Chernetsov, then under G.G.Chernetsov. In 1840 the Chernetsov brothers redeemed him from his serf-owner. In 1846 parted for Italy together with the Chernetsovs, where he lived up to the end of his life. Painted mostly scenery landscapes. His works are housed in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Irkutsk Regional Art Museum, the Kostroma Regional Museum of Fine Arts and other museums.
