NIKOLAI VASILYEVICH MESHCHERIN (1864-1916)
Studied under I.I.Levitan, A.M.Korovin, M.H. Alajalov and V.V.Pereplyotchikov. Member of the Union of Russian Artists (from 1904). Participant of exhibitions of the Society of Itinerant Art Exhibitions, "The World of Art", the Union of Russian Artists, the Moscow Society of Arts Lovers, of the exhibitions of Russian art in Paris, Berlin (1907). The main subject of his works was landscape. His works are housed in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Kiev Museum of Russian Art, the Vologda Picture Gallery.
