LEONARD VIKTOROVICH TURZHANSKY (1875-1945)
Studied at the Baron Stieglitz Central School for Technical Draftsmanship in St. Petersburg (from 1895), at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1898-1907) under A.S.Stepanov, K.A.Korovin, V.A.Serov. Member of the Society of Itinerant Art Exhibitions (1911-12), founder member of the Union of Russian Artists (from 1910), of the Society of Realist Artists. Participant of exhibitions of the Union of Russian Artists, of the Society of Itinerant Art Exhibitions, of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia, the Society of Realist Artists, of the International Exhibition of 1911. His works are housed in the State Tretyakov Gallery and many other museums.
