VASILY DMITRIEVICH POLENOV (1844-1927)
In 1863-1871 studied at the Academy of Arts in St.Petersburg and at the same time at the department of law of the Petersburg University. One of the founders of S.I.Mamontov`s Moscow Artistic circle, member of the Society of Itinerant Art Exhibitions (from 1878) and the Moscow Society of Artists (from 1894). Participant of exhibitions of the Academy of Arts, the Society of Itinarent Art Exhibitions, the Moscow Society of Art Lovers", "The World of Art ", the All-Russia exhibitions of 1882 and 1896, the World Exhibitions of 1889, 1890. His works are housed in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and many other museums of the country.
