ROBERT RAFAILOVICH FALK (1886-1958)
Oil painter, graphic artist and theatre scenery painter. Studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under V.A.Serov and K.A.Korovin. One of the organizers and permanent members of "The Jack of Diamonds". Worked at theatre from 1925. The sketch for the scenery on display was produced by the artist for performance of the Byelorussian State Jewish Theatre "The Bewitched Tailor ", a theatre version of Sholom-Aleikhem's story (Minsk, 1941, producer - N.Loiter).
