SHATILOV
Boris Alexeevich
(1905--?)

Painter, graphic artist. Painted landscapes, still-lives, genre paintings. Studied at I.I. Mashkov’s School-Studio. In 1928 graduated from the Painting Courses at the Russian Art Academy, department of Painting. Participated in exhibitions since 1928. Member of the USSR Artists’ Society since 1941. In 1941—45 worked for the “Pravda” publishing house. In 1957—65 taught at the Moscow Textile Institution. In the 1930s together with S.Y. Pimenov made a panel for the international exhibition in New-York. Shatilov’s personal exhibition took place in Moscow in 1953.
